My personal position within the architectural discourse has been constantly evolving during the MArch course. Two main issues that have been prominent throughout my studies have been the ongoing investigation of the value of waterways and rivers within our cities, in particular the River Thames and more importantly the move to re-introduce them back into the cities. Another interest that has been developing over the past two years is the use of filmic exploration which has played an integral part of my design process. By using film and projection as a fundamental tool in the designing process has enabled me to understand and critique experiential qualities, materiality and program

I am fascinated by the rituals and poetics of the everyday, and this is something that I aim to express through my design. My projects are driven by narrative and aim to take root in their context whilst exploring materiality , composition and experiential quality.

My time during the masters course and in particular my final year, is not only an opportunity to construct a speculative project of conceptual clarity but also define and refine a personal spatial and artistic practise.
